COVID-19 update – Best practices for Nothern Summer 2020 slot returns

The WorldWide Airport Slot Board (WASB) did publish a document with “Best practices on Slot Returns due to the Covid-19 Pandemic” emphasizing the importance to return airport slots without intention to use as soon as possible.

At present and during the upcoming recovery phase of the air traffic it is extremely important that coordinators and schedules facilitators maintain the most accurate database on airlines planned schedules.

The flight schedule data collected by airport coordinators and schedules facilitators are broadly being distributed to other Industry Partners such as Airport managing bodies, Air Navigation Service Providers or Handling Agents that rely on them to plan their own resources and staff in order to supply their services to the airlines.
